All Nippon Airways (ANA) unveils the first Airbus A380 in Japan

ANA (All Nippon Airways) is the largest 5-star airline in Japan for the past six years consecutively. Lately, the airline proudly unveiled the fist even Airbus 380 in Japan after they received its delivery from the Airbus Paintshop in Hamburg, Germany.

Not only this aircraft is the first ever in Japan but it also features a painting of a Hawaiian Green Turtle known commonly as Honu in the Hawaiian language painted over it. This is the symbolism for good luck and prosperity.

ANA is going to receive two more of these Airbus 380s and they will also be featured in the livery colors with different designs.

The blue livery for this first aircraft is the ANA’s corporate color scheme in correspondence to the blue skies of Hawaii.

The second aircraft, which will start its operations on July 22nd, 2019, will have the emerald color livery, which will be inspired from the crystal clear waters of Hawaii.

As for the third aircraft, it will be orange and will represent the beautiful sunset scenery of Hawaii.

The delivery of the second Airbus 380 to ANA is expected sometime in March of 2019 and will be nicknamed as “Flying Honu”. The inaugural flight will depart from Tokyo’s Narita Airport and will land at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu on May 24, 2019.
