Iran unveiled the prototype for the stealth fighter “Qaher 313”; it is still considered a Hoax
Back on February 1st, 2013 Iran unveiled its stealth fighter jet’s prototype which was named as “Qaher 313”.
The prototype for this stealth aircraft as resented to the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. This prototype was also put on a public display on the Ten-Day Dawn ceremonies held in Iran to celebrate the 1979’s victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi also made a statement about this aircraft that, “this aircraft is going to be very different from the other fighter jets that Iran has ever made”.
The pictures of this aircraft prototype were released by the FARS News Agency which shows the peculiar design of this aircraft. Many of this aircraft’s features resemble with the US F-22fighter jet whereas the Twin tail shape of this aircraft clearly resembles the F-35 Lightning II.
The aircraft also presents seemingly fixed canards with little wings which are canted slightly in a downward position.
The canopy material of the aircraft is made of something like a Plexiglas and the cockpit seems basic.
The nose section of the aircraft is so small, that no radar equipment can be fitted in it.
The air intakes in this aircraft are very small and as for engine section, it lacks any kind of nozzle which can cause the entire jet to melt after engine afterburners.
To top it off on its worst aspect, this aircraft is way too small to be a revolutionary design.
In the picture where a pilot is sitting inside this prototype, it seems like a miniature plane.
Since the unveiling, this aircraft has not been seen or heard in any development projects for the Iranian military. Many of the people still considered this aircraft to be a hoax or a laughable fake.
