Royal Thai Air Force receives its two new H225Ms helicopters

Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) earlier today received the delivery for its seventh and eight H225M military helicopters.

RTAF has ordered a total of 12 H225Ms for its fleet for the purpose of modernizing its air force arsenal. The contract was signed officially in 2016, after which the RTAF will be able to have additional helicopters in it’s already a fleet of 6 H225M military helicopters. These helicopters will be used by RTAF in the following missions.

  • Combat search
  • Rescue and search
  • Rescue flights
  • Troop transport

This 11-ton twin turbine engine powered H225M is ranked by any of the world’s leading air forces as a force multiplier. The main reason or this military helicopter’s popularity is its splendid endurance in long missions as well as its fast cruise speed.

Royal Thai Air Force receives its two new H225Ms helicopters




The helicopter is not only equipped with state of the art electronic instruments but also with 4-axis autopilot system. Other systems can also be modified into this helicopter easily as per any air force’s need. Here are currently only 90 of these helicopters operating in service for six countries. The combined flight time of these helicopters is 100,000 flight hours.
