Well, folks, we are here again with another list which includes a bunch of amazing military aircraft that are flying right now as their country’s first line of defense.
As we have stated earlier these aircraft are state of the art and are built with all the advanced technologies that are needed in any military aircraft to keep its airspace in check and to engage in any sort of aerial combat, if need be.
Majority of these aircraft are well known throughout the world due to their air superiority as well as being produced in ass number. So without further ado, here is our list of military aircraft that are flying right now (part3).
F/A-18E/F Super Hornet
This time we decided to put the famed F/A-18E/F Super Hornet first on pour list. A fighter jet which entered the military service back in 199 but with its amazing abilities is still serving the USAF in these technologically advanced time, all because it’s a marvelous piece of aviation engineering.
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is actually an upgrade on the aging fleet of the F/A-18s which were unable to take off or land on the aircraft carriers. These advanced F/A-18E/F Super Hornets are now slim and are equipped with better maneuverability that allows them to possess air superiority in the close air-to-air missions.
All thanks to the redesigning of these per hornets, they are equipped with limited stealth capabilities. This stealth capability allows them to be the fine bridge between the older jet fighters and the fifth generation jet fighters equipped with stealth capabilities such as F-22 and F-35.
With the fifth generation jet fighter currently serving their roles in tests, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is in active duty and making the air superiority of USAF known across the globe. They are the favorite of US Navy due to them being able to deploy really fast and go toe to toe in combat operations as well as deliver precision payload delivery on their targets. All of this is done while maintaining a speed of Mach 2.
Sukhoi PAK FA T-50
Next up on the list is the Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 which is the Russian multirole stealth jet fighter that is developed not too long ago.
The Russians had been experimenting on creating an aircraft with the combined capabilities and much more as a predecessor to their MiG-29 and Su-27 for an air superiority aircraft. To fulfill that role, the end result was the Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 plus the amazing stealth technology.
The aircraft with its top speed of Mach 2 and a combat range of 2175 miles along with the ability to withstand the load of +9.0g is an amazing piece of military engineering.
The aircraft with all its capabilities are placed in the same class as the F-35 and F-22. Nay older generation fighter jets would be calling themselves unlucky when they are up against these attack dogs. Being equipped with the state of the art and latest radar and electronic warfare technologies, these aircraft are a force to be reckoned with.
Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey
The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is a military transport helicopter that has been serving the USAF since 2007. The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is the America’s first ever tiltrotor military aircraft which was able to make extremely shorts vertical take-offs and landings (S/VTOL).
The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an upgrade on the aging fleet of CH-46 Sea Knights and is proudly serving in the Marine Corps of US Military. The aircraft’s primary roles are to transport personnel and supplies on the front lines. The aircraft although took too long of a time for developing, it served its purpose to full extent an then some more.
The aircraft can land or take off from a naval carrier as well as a tarmac. The aircraft is also only one of a kind aircraft that can transform into a rotary wing aircraft from a fixed winged propeller aircraft.
Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is the fixed wing ground attack jet fighter that is currently serving US military since 1977.
The fact that this aircraft entered in the service back in the late 70s and is still serving in the US military is a testament to its superiority as the Old Gen military fighter jets. The aircraft became renowned due to its extensive time and achievements earned during the Persian Gulf War. The aircraft there is responsible for the destruction of nearly 900 tanks, 1200 artillery pieces as well as 2000 military vehicles. It is also the world’s very first fighter jet that achieved a confirmed kill against a helicopter. The aircraft is not renowned for its beauty of the design but is instead famed for its capability to carry a huge ordinance payload and deliver it with precision targeting over enemy targets.
Due to its extensive role and service, the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II aka Warthog has been redesigned to have the titanium armor around its undercarriage cockpit which allows them to better withstand the combat damage. It will soon be retired by the US military as soon as the first fleet of F-35 Lightning II is ready for action.
Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning II
The Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning II is the fifth generation multirole stealth fighter jet that was manufactured for the USAF back in 2015. The aircraft might still be in testing phases it is still a force not to be messed with in the skies.
The aircraft was designed to meet up the expectations of its predecessor aircraft like F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Hornet, F-16 Falcon, and A-10 Warthog. The company behind the inception of Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning II, the Lockheed Martin has announced that the very first variant of the Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning II is already delivered to the Marine Corps with many others to soon join it in the active line of duty.
The aircraft has been manufactured in three major variants with the first one being the F-35B. This variant was manufactured on the request of the Marine Corps with the ability to perform the STOL (Short take-offs and landings).
