On the night nights from 11th to 12th October, 32018 Flydubai started its daily operations from Helsinki to Dubai. Flydubai has become the first international filet to start its year around operations directly from Dubai Airport to Helsinki Airport in the world.
Helsinki Airport is the best airport in Northern Europe with its 145 routes all across the globe. This is the major step for the airport as it is looking forward to serving about 30 million passengers a year. The investment of this operation is going to be almost 1 billion Euros.
Joni Sundelin; SVP and Helsinki Airport and route development director said in a released statement that, “we are already expecting about 20 million passengers to travel through Helsinki Airport. Despite the fact that Helsinki Airport has great connectivity options, we have been lacking to see a year-round direct route to Dubai. This is why we are absolutely delighted to introduce this new Dubai route.”
The airport will be starting this new route operation on its all-new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This new Helsinki Airport route will also be shared with Emirate airline as the Emirates and Flydubai are partners.
The first flight from Helsinki to Dubai took off at about 00:10 Finnish time. The said flight will leave from Dubai at around 17:25 of the local time and arrive back at Helsinki on 23:10.
