Heathrow airport is the first airport in the word that has announced that it will not charge the landing fees for the electric-hybrid aircraft for one year. The only stipulation is that the aircraft will provide regular service through the UK International hub.
The landing fee which Heathrow airport has wavered off is about 1 million pounds annually.
Heathrow Airport in the spirit of celebrating the Green GB Week has decided to make this sustainable change in the air industry. They were inspired when the first flight of the short electric powered flight carrier made carried two passengers at the Oslo Airport this year.
Heathrow’s Chief Executive John Holland-Kaye is going to launch this grand innovation incentive at the BusinessGreen Leaders’ Summit in London which is happening on 18th October. This incentive value is about 1 million pounds.
