Its design resembles the Lockheed F-22 Raptor and has two engines as well as two vertical stabilizers. Military claims that this is a sixth generation Jet Fighter that can easily place British ahead of fighters planes of many countries like US’s F-35, Russia’s Sukhoi SU-57 and China’s Chengdu J-20.

During the unveiling ceremony,

the UK Defense Secretary; Gavin Williamson said that, “that today we are offering to you a glimpse of tomorrow. Ministry has set up a budget of 2.6 billion dollars for perfecting the design and making it a reality by 2025.”

According to analysts, it is completely understandable that Brits are tending to their own air force needs. Brexit has already cut off ties with is defense partners like Airbus and US has also turned to inwards production. After the remarks of the Aerospace and Defense Consultancy Teal Group’s aviation analyst; Richard Aboulafia that “this fighter’s is almost more significant politically as it is technologically or aeronautically”, has caused quite a challenge for engineering team. They now have to produce their own specialties in this fighter jet as well as doge all the problems or prospects that other international plane programs face or present.
