Simrik Air helicopter crash-lands at Grande Hospital
A video has been released of a Simrik Helicopter which after trying to land on the rooftop of the hospital’s helipad crash landed. The incident happened at the rooftop of the Grande International Hospital located in Dhapasi, Katmandu.
According to the report from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, no causalities have happened during this incident.
General Sanjiv Gutam; CANN Director told media that helicopter slipped during the final approach to helipad of Hospital. The incident happened around 2:38 pm. The Helicopter which has call sign 9N-ALR slipped and fell down about ten feet when it was approaching from east. Damages sustained by helicopters are on its left side and on its rotors.
The Chopper was being flown by Captain Hareram Thapa who was flying it to ferry a medical team to Bharatpur, Chitwan. This was the second flight of the day for Thapa. Pilot suffered from only minor injuries and there was no immediate threat to his life.
