MV-22 Osprey painted in special color scheme at MCAS Miramar for Halloween

Today we present to you some of the photos from the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar located in California. These photos were taken on 31st, October 2018 which show an MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft.

This aircraft belongs to the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 “Evil Eyes” and the plane has been presented in a new color scheme by the Shayne Meder also known as the Flygirlpainter. He is a retired Air Force master sergeant from Riverside, California, who’s painted some of the following 60 aircraft so far.

  • S. Air Force KC-135
  • C-17
  • C-141 aircraft
  • S. Marine Corps CH-46 and MV-22

The artwork has been featured on the external sides of the vertical tails of this aircraft. The right side of the tail features a “Grim Reaper with ‘Evil Eyes’ patch” and the left side features a “Grim Reaper with ‘Ridge Runners’ patch”.

In addition to the tail art, the painter also painted the nose section of the aircraft which features two sinister eyes.
