Malaysia Airlines; A Boeing 737-800’s take-off was aborted after both of its right main gear tires disintegrated
On October 21st, 2018 one of the Boeing 737-900 of the Malaysia Airlines was aborted from takeoff. The aircraft was scheduled for a flight headed from Shanghai Pudong Airport towards Kuala Lampoor Airport.
The reason for this sudden abort of the flight from takeoff was the high damage caused to the aircraft’s right main gears.
Both of the right main gears of the plane were disintegrated during the take off at the Shanghai Pudong airport runway 35R.
Pilots were quick to take action and aborted the takeoff. The plane was halted on the runway. All the passengers and crew members aboard the plane were safely evacuated.
