Concorde was jointly developed and manufactured by Sud-Aviation which was later known as Aérospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) under an Anglo-French treaty. The company hopes that this project will be successful in part because of the critical need for faster air travel between major international cities, providing less time traveling through airports and more time to complete business. The company plans to create several different models that will accommodate various types of passengers, starting with a model that can seat up to 55 people.
Currently, the model can reach speeds of over 1,451 miles per hour.

The company believes that supersonic flight is an important step in the future of air travel. Tupolev TU 144: 1,510 mph one of the Fastest Civil Aircraft
The title of being the world’s fastest airliner supersonic aircraft goes to Tupolev TU 144 as it can reach the speed of up to 1510 mph or 2430 km/h. Although the aircraft is no longer used for commercial purposes, it is still in use by the Russian military for conducting various space program and pieces of training. It has almost twice the speed of some commercial aircraft. These sorts of speeds are usually associated with the fighter jets, however this aircraft can fly fast. may not have the fuel efficiency but definately has the speed.
