British Airways; passenger after smuggling ‘emotional support’ cat onboard was kicked off from the flight

A passenger was kicked off from British Airways flight after she was found smuggling an animal. The animal in question was a cat which the passenger claimed as an ‘emotional cat’.

The passenger was a female who still remains unnamed. The aircraft on which this incident occurred was headed from Glasgow to London on flight number BA1477 on 21st October 2018. The cat was found stoked away in woman’s luggage by the cabin crew.

Passenger was carrying this cat hidden in her hand luggage. She was only found out because she was sitting next to the exit and the cabin crew asked her to place her bag in the overhead locker.

The passenger was reportedly an American citizen and as under impression that if American Airlines allows the traveling of emotional cats free of charge so does the UK Airlines.

UK Airlines, unlike US Airlines, only allow the traveling for recognized dogs like Guide Dogs in the cabin.

Earlier in October, another similar case came up in the US but that time the passenger in question was kicked off from the flight because of carrying an “emotional Squirrel”.

The incident happened on the Frontier Airlines who asked the Denver Police Department to escort the lady off the plane along with her rodent after she refused to disembark herself.
