The border area in between US and Mexico has become extremely volatile due to the recent macro-trafficking and illegal immigration. One particular area near the border region which has seen the narco-insurgent increase is the City of Juarez. According to source, about 500 people in 2018 have lost their lives as a result of the narco-insurgent violence in Juarez. This city also borders with Texas State city; El Passo which actually forms the buffer zone in between two countries.

President Obama also sent about 1200 National Guard soldiers to guard the boundary in his presidential terms, as well as President George W. Bush, also deployed about 6000 troops to assist the Border Patrol in an operation dubbed as “Operation Jump Start”.
