Fly Jamaica Airways; A Boeing 757 headed to Toronto returns and crash lands at Georgetown Airport
On 9th November 2018 a Boeing 757-200 of the Fly Jamaica Airlines headed from Guyana; Georgetown Airport to Toronto; Pearson Airport in Canada, on flight number OJ256 made a sudden return to its departure airport after suffering technical problems. The aircraft on its return landing suffered from a fatal crash. Although it has been confirmed that onboard 112 passengers and 8 crew members are safe from any harm, six of the passengers did suffer some major injuries. The airline announced that it is currently assisting the local authorities in conducting their investigations and will further provide information as soon as they retrieve it. The plane crash landed at the Georgetown Airport at 3:00 am in the morning.
