Oman Air; flight makes an emergency landing in UAE after a boy dies onboard

On 13th November 2018, a boy aboard an Oman Air’s aircraft died onboard. According to reports boy was returning after performing Umrah from Saudi Arabia. The airline confirmed the news that the flight made an emergency landing in Abu Dhabi on Monday afternoon. The deceased boy’s uncle who lives in Abu Dhabi told media, “He was running with a high fever while he was boarding on the flight from Jeddah and later he developed epileptic seizures mid-flight. He died in his mother’s lap.” The name of the boy was Yahya Puthiyapurayil, who developed his epileptic seizures within 45 minutes after the flight took off from Jeddah airport. One official of the Indian Embassy told media that, “the body of the boy made its way back to Kannur, India aboard an Etihad Airways flight. The boy has been buried on Tuesday afternoon”.
