Moscow Sheremetyevo airport; man hit by an Aeroflot Boeing 737-800 which was about to take off
On 20th November 2018, an Aeroflot Boeing 737-800 which was scheduled for takeoff from Moscow Sheremetyevo airport and land at the Athens Airport for the flight number SU2112 was taxing on the Sheremetyevo runway. However, unfortunately, a man ran down in front of the plane and was instantly killed on the spot. The news was relayed to the Russian Press Agency TASS by a spokesperson of the Sheremetyevo airport named Anna Zakharenkova. Zakharenkova added to her statement, “The aircraft which was bound for Athens was taxiing on the runway when the crew reported a collision with an unidentified object. The incident took place at around 20:10 of local time. Airport security rushed onto the runway where the discovered a human body. The clothes and personal belongings of the deceased person were scattered all around”. The identity of the man has been determined and the local police have been informed about this incident.
