Emirates Airways introduces the new iris and facial recognition technology for its passengers
With the new technology being introduced by Emirates to its customers, checking-in and boarding will now be a very swift and easy process. Emirates; the UAE based carrier has plans to introduce the Iris and Facial recognition technology for its flights at the Dubai International Airport. The news was announced by officials of Emirates on Monday morning. This new technology is going to be helpful in reducing the boarding queues and also checking of the papers for departure. The new biometric technology will allow the Flyers to just stroll through the airport without any wait for checking in and boarding. This new facility to be soon incorporated by Emirates is dubbed as “Biometric Paths”. According to the airline, they have already acquired the biometric equipment and they also have installed it at Terminal 3 of the Dubai International Airport. This biometric technology can be found at the Check-in counters of the carrier lounge for the premium passengers at the Concourse B. It has also been incorporated at the selected boarding gates of the Terminal 3 as well. At the moment it is not clear as to when flyers will be able to use this biometric technology. However one of the Emirates spokespeople said on Monday that they will soon start the passenger trials. Dubai has also incorporated the world’s first ever Passport Control facility. With this facility, the moment of the passengers at the airport has significantly increased. With the help of this facility, passengers can easily travel through a tunnel and get their immigration clearance without any human intervention. They also do not need any human passport stamp from his facility as well.
