Delta Airlines ‘Flight from Hell’ passengers forced to climb out through wings after smoke started pouring in the cabin

On 9th May 2018, a Delta Airline plane had to be evacuated immediately after landing after smoke started to fill the cabin. This caused the panic among passengers in the cabin and they dubbed this flight as “Flight from Hell’. After the flight 1854 landed on the Denver International Airport on Tuesday 8th May, passengers aboard the plane wee heard screaming “let us out”. The rescue crew was greeted by panicked passengers and a plane that was gassing out smoke. The rescue crew asked the passengers on bard to cover themselves with blankets before giving out order for evacuation. Passengers exited the plane from both emergency landing slides and the over wing exists as the pictures of this whole scene were captured by many passengers who were standing atop the plane’s wings. According to Denver International Airport, some passengers did suffer from minor injuries during evacuation but nothing serious. One of the passengers; Jim McManus told the media reports that after the pane grounded at the Denver Airport, and started it taxi to the arrival gate, smoke suddenly started seeping in through the cabin vents. Jim tweeted the whole incident as “Flight from Hell” along with the new information that the flight was already delayed for three hours in Detroit before departing for Denver. Jim also told the local media reporters that passengers were totally unaware of the source from which the smoke started originating. Most of the passengers remained calm otherwise this whole situation could have been a lot messier. He said to media that, “we are grateful that it did not happened while we were in the air. We were all sitting there complaining it among ourselves. One of the guys pointed that it did not happened while we were in the air. So again it could not have gone any better.” Delta Airlines spokesperson said to media that they evacuated the plane after observance of smoke in cabin. They have still explained about the origin of this sudden smoke problem.
